Cheaper flights, cheaper rents and PERFECT WEATHER !! In juli and august there is too much tourism, full beaches, lots of traffic jams and too hot (between 35 and 40 degrees) to make excursions or walking in the city center of the capital Cagliari.
Some years people went swimming for the last time on December 7 with temperatures still around 25 degrees and even with Christmas we had 24 degrees and people where swimming 😉

If you don’t like sun and beach but you prefer city tours and sightseeing or you want to continue your favorite sport … then the winter months (january, february, march), with temperatures by day between 15 and 20 degrees, are perfect for you 😉

Villa with 2 apartments and garden:
Modern house with 3 floors, fully furnished and decorated. In residential and clean neighbourhood, close to supermarkets, public transport, city center, airport etc.

We, the owners, are living in the “half” basement floor (first apartment).
We rent the groundfloor and first floor for holidays (second apartment).
The house has airco, heat pumps and fly/mosquito net in all rooms.
The guests have their own separate entrance.
Total area 180m2.
The apartment offers space for 4 people but even if you come only with 2 people, we block the days, the way that it is all yours. There is always the possibility to add 1 or 2 sleeping places.

We speak Dutch, German, English, French, Arabic and Italian.

LAYOUT OF THE HOUSE:

Groundfloor:
Livingroom with tv, complete equipped kitchen (washing machine, dishwasher etc.), 1 bathroom with bath, bidet and wc and a garden.

First floor:
1 bedroom with doublebed and 1 bedroom with 2 single beds. Bathroom with shower, bidet and wc.

BREAKFAST:
The big supermarket Euro Spin is directly in front of your accommodation and is 7 days a week open. You can decide by yourself wether you prepare your own breakfast, or you will take your breakfast in one of the many bars in the neighbourhood like all italians do. At the bar one coffee with a croissant doesn’t even cost 2 euro. In that way you can get up when you want … If we have to prepare your breakfast we have to calculate 5 euros per person per day and by law we can only offer you prepacked food.

LOCATION:
Casa Salsa Libre is located in the south of Sardinia in the village “Selargius” with his almost 30.000 inhabitants. To the center of Selargius it is only 5 minutes walking.
The distance to the capital Cagliari, with his 150.000 inhabitants just in the centre, is only 10 minutes by car or bus.
Also the airport and harbour are only at 10 (car)minutes distance.

Near the apartment, you can take a bus several times each hour which brings you to the city (Cagliari) and the beach (Poetto).

Casa Salsa Libre is also just 10 minutes away from the beautifull 10km long sandy beach “Il Poetto” (the famous beach of Cagliari and Quartu Sant’Elena) Casa Salsa Libre lays also at a strategic halfway point (50km by car) between the beautiful beaches of Pula and Chia (southern) and Villasimius (northern).

From the airport you can take the train which brings you in 2 minutes to the center of Cagliari in Piazza Matteotti. There you can take bus number 30 direction Selargius and you have to get out in Viale Trieste directly in front of the supermarket Eurospin. It’s only 10 minutes by bus.

If you arrive by boat at the harbour of Cagliari, you will arrive directly in the center at Piazza Matteotti.
Directly behind the supermarket Eurospin, you will find Casa Salsa Libre in Via Francesco Crispi 55.

PRICES:
If you book directly by us, you will pay less then booking by a intermediator. After the booking you have to pay 25% in advance. You can find our accomodation also on booking . com and air bnb where you can find a lot of perfect reviews about our apartment. The score on booking . com is always between 9 and 10 points.

The price depends on the number of guests and the period/month in which you want to rent the appartment. The price is inclusive towels, blankets, gas, electricity and water.

Enduro Motor Tours and Dance Holidays we organise by ourselves. These tours are only available for guests who stay at Casa Salsa Libre. Regarding the other tours we collaborate with other companies.

Salsa/Bachata/Kizomba Holidays – Partys and Courses:
In wintertime you can dance salsa from wednesday until sunday in different locations in Cagliari.
From 1 july until 31 october you can dance 7 days a week OPEN AIR SALSA in one of the many beach locations at IL POETTO beach at Cagliari and in some tennisclubs.

Enduro Motor Tours or Motorcross:

For those who like motorsport, Sardinia offers a lot of possibilities even in wintertime.
We can offer you Enduro Motor Tours in the Sardinian mountains/forest with professional guides and/or training possibilities for motorcross at the Sardinian slopes in the neighbourhood of our accomodation. If, for reason of the winterweather, you can’t train at your place, you can come and train overhere. Also a lot of professionals are coming for wintertraining to Sardinia.

RENT A CAR:

If you want to rent a car we advice you to do it directly at the ariport. A lot of car rental companys are doing direct business with the flightcompanies and offers you the possibility to have a big discount and the comfort to pick up your car directly at the airport (f.e. europe car etc.)

AIRPORT:
The adress of the airport:
Aiport Cagliari lays in the village Elmas, Via Dei Trasvolatori, 09030 Elmas Cagliari, tel. 0039070211211.

If we have free time we can pick you up (maximum 3 persons) and bring you back to the airport. For one way it costs 20 euro. Cheap flights you will find with Ryan Air. Destination: Cagliari.

HARBOUR:
For those who wants to come by boat, there are several possibilitys.
Harbours at Sardinia: Porto Torres, Olbia, Arbatax, Golfo Aranci, Cagliari
Harbours from the continent: Genova, Livorno, Civitavecchia.
From Porto Torres and Olbia its still around 200km distance to Selargius/Casa Salsa Libre.
From the harbour of Cagliari its only 15 minutes by car.
